|When I loose sight from time to time, He is always right on target.|
is to continually return to His hand throughout the day. If possible, to never leave it. Ours is a life of Worship.
I have been contemplating "The Glory of God", thanks to R.C Sproul. The Hebrews and Greeks use the same word to describe His Presence - K'vd - as having "Great Weight" and/or "Heaviness". To worship Him is to draw near, and He draws us into the presence of the heavenly chorus, that we worship Him in Spirit and in Truth before the presence of God. And He, The Most High God, is not one to be taken lightly.
Flash forward to today- there I was, waiting patiently for my mom's release from cataract surgery. I decided to take in A.W Tozer's The Knowledge of the Holy for company. He entitled this chapter "God Incomprehensible". In it, Tozer illustrates a simple truth of our Human Perception and reasoning in the way to approach our mental image of The Living God.
"When we try to imagine what God is like we must of necessity use that-which-is-not-God as the raw material for our minds to work on; hence whatever we visualize God to be, He is not, for we have constructed our image out of that which He has made and what He has made is not God. If we insist upon trying to imagine Him, we end with an idol, made not with hands but with thoughts; and an idol of the mind is as offensive to God as an idol of the hand"Brutal Truth. Tozer begins with a warning against Idolatry, but this is not to say we are condemned. for "In Christ, by Christ, God effects complete self disclosure, although He shows Himself not to Reason, but to Faith and Love. Faith is a organ of knowledge and love an organ of experience."
"But even here and now, whenever the heart begins to burn with a desire for God, she is made able to receive the uncreated light and, inspired and fulfilled by the gifts of the Holy Ghost, she tastes the joys of heaven. She transcends all visible things and is raised to the sweetness of eternal life. . . Herein truly is perfect love; when all the intent of the mind , all the secret working of the heart, is lifted up into the love of God "Here we are, creatures of the dust and dirt, and His Limitless Love draws us to Himself as Sons and Daughters. How do we even begin to speak of His Goodness? Let alone relate of His being? That we desire is a good thing, but even now I am struggling!

The nurse called my name, and I escorted Mom to the Dr's office, for a Post-Op Eye Exam.
Brothers and Sisters, you know "The awareness" as the Lord draws your attention? I sat quietly as the optician put up chart of letters. I would see them straight on, but Mom would look at them through the reflection of a mirror. Mom called out each letter, one by one. Her smile and laughter bright as the sun. "Did I get them right?" she asked, and the Optician responded "yes of course!" in a cheery tone.
Was it a lie? I saw the letters differently.
Would I be so arrogant as to correct her?
No. The Optician was looking for something else,
and despite what letters I saw on the board,
Mom's answers were indeed correct.
The Lords Mercy, Grace and Forgiveness is the measure,
And its a sliding scale. That we might build and encourage one another
in the Faith, and live from Faith to Faith.
That we look in the direction of The Father is Good,
That we carry our own Cross, The Work.
That we display the radiant fruits of the Spirit, To His Glory,
Though we stumble and fall, He Loves us still.
And with only a 3lb brain, we will fail.
(^___^) But just keep runnin' that race. One day we will see Him Face to face
1 Corinthians 15:42-49 English Standard Version (ESV)
42 . . . What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. 43 It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45 Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual. 47 The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. 49 Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.
